Kibbutznik of Marks JCH hosts a premier Russian-language immersion Jewish Summer Day Camp at the state of the art facilities at Hannah Senesh Community Day School.

2020 Camp Dates: June 29 – August 12, 2020

Kibbutznik Russian Immersion summer camp is a progressive educational environment in which every activity and interaction offers a chance for fun and learning. Campers explore the world around them, and within them through creative themes using well-known Russian and Jewish literature, media and art. Part of the Kibbutznik North Brooklyn initiative, this program services famlies from Park Slope, Carrol Gardens, Brooklyn Heights and Lower Manhattan.

Camp components include:

Russian Language Development: One of the core focuses of our camp cirriculum is nurturing an indepth and meaningful Russian immersion development program. With our experienced and bi-lingual teachers and dedicate staff, we craft an individualized reading and writing cirriculum daily for each camper. Our goal is for campers to enrich their understanding of the Russian language, while developing concrete understanding of cultural Russian themes.

Weekly Specialty Tracks: -Kibbutznik Russian Immersion camp has introduced unique and detailed weekly specialty tracks with a diverse range from a week-long Fashion immersion workshop with renowed fashion designer Andrie Borosvkiy from St. Petersburg to recreating delicious notable Russian dishes during our culinary week. Some other weeks include music, theater, science, macciabah, and many more!

Shabbat & Jewish Culture –  The entire curriculum was crafted by Zhenya Lopatnik and our team of teachers, incorporating famous literary works, as well as their own writings. Through this segment, we focus on growing children’s connection to themes of Jewish values into the summer.

–Artist in Residence program with educators such as Andrei Borovskiy is the annual highlight of the camp. Last year, we focused on Fashion – kids’ fashion, Jewish fashion, evolution and fashion, and created our very own works for end of the week Fashion Show!

As for physical activity, instructional swimming is offered twice a week; as well as daily explorations of the natural environment and games in Prospect Park.

Hot lunches are provided daily; transportation is available from several north Brooklyn neighborhoods – please inquire with camp office.
