Virtual Parent Session: Coping During Difficult Times

March 24, 2022 @ 8:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Event Navigation

The war in Ukraine has had a profound effect on parents and children, even if the conflict is thousands of miles away. Hearing and seeing images of war has undermined our ability to see the world as a safe and secure place. This is especially difficult for children.  Please join Kibbutznik and Dr. Julie Davelman for a conversation about our response to the stress we are experiencing, as well as learn various coping strategies. We will also discuss how to talk to children about what is happening in the world in a way that they can understand and process.

Dr. Julie Davelman is a psychologist with Abrams Psychological Services. In addition to treating a wide gamut of clinical symptoms, such as depression, anxiety, anger, and trauma, her areas of expertise include forensics and parenting issues. Using a goal-driven approach, Dr. Davelman works with individuals, couples, and families to develop the skills they need to be healthy, loving, and supportive of themselves and those in their lives.
