When we go on a journey, our horizons are broadened, and we gain new insights into the world. Is it any wonder that we use journeys as a metaphor for life? On November 11th, we invite you to experience a vanguard art journey based on the overlap of Jewish wisdom and the life and work of Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, who was called “the new Van Gogh of our times.” We will go on the journey with the artist, and follow her creative way through immersing ourselves in her infinite art form and then narrowing it to dots. We will incorporate ideas from Jewish text on “taking the longer road” and choosing a path into our creative journeys.
Who is this for?
This is a family event for all ages, where parent participation is required.
What will I do?
Explore different stops on a creative journey using art tools inspired by Kusama.
Why should you come?
Because there is no right way to create and no boundaries to human spirit.
Meet the creative team: Maria Budnitsky, Specialist, Progressive Education; Katya Rachkovskaya, Early Childhood Educator, Art and Theater; Olga Sharf, Children’s Art Instructor.
