SUMMARY:Beauty and Ugliness: a Feast for our Senses
DESCRIPTION:Before this Thanksgiving\, we will hold a feast for our senses and intellect.  Kibbutzniks  will explore the themes of beauty and ugliness in this interactive\, creative\, and educational workshop for the whole family. The program will be divided into three interconnected parts\, where the concepts of beauty and ugliness will be explored through experiential activities. We’ll start with Live Paintings – theatrical exercises where famous paintings will come to life. Afterwards\, we’ll look at the concept of ‘ugly’ art\, what that means\, and create our own ‘ugly’ artworks. Lastly\, we’ll learn Midrashim through shadow puppet theater\, and let our fantasies run wild. Using a new lens and gaining an understanding of beauty and ugliness\, we will re-evaluate the meaning of  the creative process.
